So Where Is Hakskeenpan?

Approximately 50km from the Namibian border on the R31. We realize it is a long way to drive, but believe us when we say it is well worth it. Nowhere else in the world will you find such a pristine surface for land speed racing. Its flat, its fairly hard and there are miles of it:

Directions:

  • Travel North from Upington on the R360 till it becomes the R31.
  • After approx 246km from Upington, you will get Klein Mier on your left.
  • 10km Further the road will cross Hakskeenpan. Keep an eye out for a board on your left with Bloodhound Project written on it. The gate nearby is the entrance to SpeedWeek (also on the left).
  • If you reach Rietfontein then you have gone about 17km too far.
